Manufacturing Engineer - Aerospace

** ** Level 1 candidates can be recent college graduates with applicable experience and education
** ** Level 2 candidates will have up to 2 years of applicable experience
The Manufacturing Engineer classifications are responsible for design, fabrication, modification, analysis and evaluation of manufacturing operations, processes, procedures and production layouts for the support of manufacturing / assembly operations for rocket engine components and/or systems, equipment installation, machining, metal forming, welding and brazing, and material handling. Skills:
Required:
• Designing and planning of layout component fabrication, assembly and material handling, planning of sequence of operations, and specification procedures.
• The scope of responsibility will be for several mechanical components or as a process engineer supporting new and developing process.
Desired:
• Tight tolerance machining, Welding, Design systems (ProE, CATIA, VisMockup, CAD/virtual manufacturing)
• Manufacturing fabrication and assembly processes and systems
• Verbal and written communication.
• Project management skills and MS Office applications (Word, Excel).
• Experience with Maestro, Delmia and Windchill are preferred, not required.
• Aerospace experience preferred but not required.
Education:
• Level 1: Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Level 2: Requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline and 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
