Structural Analysis Engineer 4

Chipton-Ross is seeking 9 Structural Analysis Engineer 4's for an opportunity in Tukwila, WA

Looking for experienced senior structural analysis engineer to support Client Defense, Space and Security in the Puget Sound region of Washington State; providing support to the Presidential Airplane Recapitalization Program (VC-25B), the Poseidon Program (P-8) and/or the Puget Sound Design Center (including the T-X program). Job responsibilities may include internal loads (FEM), static, fatigue, and/or damage tolerance stress analysis to support program design, fabrication, testing, and/or structural integrity activities.

Leads development, integration and documentation of structural requirements to establish the system design. Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment. Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by using and developing analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance. Leads development of test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied. Supports in-service products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing improvements. Develops analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort. Works under minimal direction.

Finite Element Analysis (FEA) - Required - Advanced
Nastran - Required - Advanced
Patran - Required - Advanced

o Must have at least a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aeronautics/Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
o Must have 9 or more years' experience in structural or mechanical systems analysis or finite element analysis
o Significant experience with stress, fatigue, and/or damage tolerance analysis on primary structural components or mechanical systems

Full-Time/First Shift
7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

This position can be in support of multiple programs in the Developmental Center Area of Tukwila. Supporting the Puget Sound Design Center (9-98 Bldg), the VC-25B Program (9-101 Bldg), and the P-8 Program (14-01 Bldg).
