Fly-By-Wire (FBW) Control System Specialist

Description:
A Fly-By-Wire Control System Specialist role in Nagoya, Japan is currently available through Belcan. The Fly-By-Wire Control System Specialist will work on activities of as part of HLAS, Secondary Flight Control System Group. This will include interfacing with all other aircraft functions and engineering team members to coordinate and obtain the approval of any task assigned contributing to the aircraft "Flight Control System" Development, Qualification and Certification.
Fly-By-Wire Control System Specialist job duties:

* Basic work scope is to develop and finalize MRJ-200 (M90) T/C design, compliant to all applicable Requirements, under company schedule.
* This activity includes:
* Evaluating the current aircraft design, with respect to compliance to the Flight Controls related
airworthiness regulations of JCAB, FAA and EASA.
* Oversight on design solutions engineered through requirements-based management, complying
with CFR 14 Part25, ARP4754A, DO 160, DO178b, DO254.
* Perform requirements management activities: validation, verification.
* Support Software verification campaigns.
* Demonstrate compliance for all integration and development requirements and design authority;
* Support discussions and presentation of the FBW system with the Regulatory Authorities;
* Reporting on work status and progress through regular technical and program governance to
upper management.
* Execute the plan, schedule and priorities directed by IPT and upper management. Where
deviation to plans exists, proposed alternative methods or recovery plans to secure program
objectives.
* Support other ATAs, IPTs and Departments (Customer Support, Flight Test, RIGS etc.) in relation
to ATA27 dependencies to ensure they meet program milestones.
* Responsible for technical requirements integration with applicable FBW suppliers and other
interfacing suppliers as appropriate.
* Provide leadership and expertise to assist in resolving the FBW performance during any rig
testing or flight testing.
* All tasks required to perform above activities are considered within work scope; initiating/
reviewing related documents, technical calculation, interface discussion with the team members
and all the other stakeholders including systems, structures, manufacturing, customer support,
and partners.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

* BS in an Engineering discipline
* 10 years related experience
This position requires an estimated commitment of being in Japan for 3 years.
The primary work location will be in Nagoya, Japan. However, engineers maybe requested to travel or relocate to Seattle or Moses Lake (Washington State, USA) where aircraft flight testing is performed. Travel may also be requested to system supplier sites to manage system development and certification activities.
