Our Aerospace Client based in Canada require an Aerostructures Manager to join them on a permanent basis. This is a highly responsible role. The successful candidate will have gained solid experience and knowledge of Aircraft Structures design, encompassing Primary, Secondary structures and Systems Installations design. You will need to be able to demonstrate at least 10 years of Management and Leadership experience in this field.

The Role:

•    Lead the Design and Stress organization supporting one of our client's most successful platforms for design changes related to Operation support, Continued airworthiness and new product development 
      initiatives.

•    Plan, oversee, coordinate, and prioritize activities to achieve department objectives on quality, schedule, and within budget requirements.

•    Provide technical leadership in the design and certification of change requirement through oversight on technical analysis, documentations, and drawings to fulfil customer and certification requirements. 

•    Work as a facilitator and coach to support progressing design work packages through effective leadership and project management.  

•    Drive up Design Quality by monitoring metrics, identifying gaps and championing corrective actions.

•    Monitor and develop department technical knowledge and skill levels and ensure development plans are in place to ensure individual growth.

•    Work closely with the Program Stress DADs, Core DAD, and DAO to continuously develop Knowledge Level of team members through coaching, employee training and development, ongoing assessment,
      and feedback with the objective to build and sustain an environment that supports cooperation, employee engagement and trust.

•    Apply the Company's Operational Excellence to implement and improve business processes, enhance customer satisfaction, and meet strategic goals.

•    Establish robust communication with the team to ensure complete and constant alignment with the company's core values and business objectives, with a focus on team engagement and
      internal/external stakeholders’ collaboration.  

•    Support resource planning activities and budget preparation.


 
The  ideal candidate:


•    You hold Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.

•    You have a minimum of 15 years of experience in Airframe Primary/Secondary Structural Design including Systems Installations.

•    You have a minimum of 10 year leading technical teams and are experienced in project management as well as knowledge of aircraft development cycle.

•    You have strong understanding of Airframe configuration optimization, loads, stress analysis, materials, manufacturing processes, weight and balance, and structural in-service requirements.  

•    You have strong understanding of civil aircraft certification rules and experience in certification procedures.

•    You have experience in Catia V5 and/or other modelling tools.

•    You are highly motivated with a proven ability to adapt in a dynamic environment. You are a leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a high sense of commitment, and a willingness
      to accept responsibilities while acting independently.

•   English Language fluency, French would be an additional asset.
