Location: Hazelwood, MO/ St. Louis, MO
Duration: 6 Months

Job Description:
The successful candidate will be a part of a multi-disciplined team focused on providing TACAIR spares engineering support throughout the proposal phase as well as manufacturing execution, including part configuration, design changes and supplier related issues. The engineer will coordinate with various production and legacy programs within the TACAIR umbrella to include F/A-18, F-15, T-45, and AV8-B. The candidate will also work to develop plans to solve long term spares related issues including alternative manufacturing methods (i.e. additive manufacturing) and provide design support and input on various spares projects. The candidate must be a self-starter with strong communication skills.

Position Responsibilities:
Your duties as an engineer will include (but are not limited to):
- Engineering reach back to the prime organization, mechanical, structural, manufacturing engineering and systems engineering.
- Develop recommendations for supplier related issues and coordinate with Supplier Management.
- Implement design changes on spares configurations and new manufacturing processing.
- Develop and implement continuous improvements plans to provide more efficiencies in spares design and fabrication that provide value to the customer.
- Develop and implement plans to improve supplier coordination to ensure compliance with the requirements.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
- Engineering experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience using the following Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools: Teamcenter & Unigraphics

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience working with or supporting military aircraft
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects and programs
- Experience working in a cross functional environment

Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
