Description:
Job Description: Performs machine set-up, machining, welding set-up, welding, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending and fabrication tasks. Performs composite lay-up, fabrication and assembly tasks. Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components. Assembles, repairs, modifies and installs various power plants and drive trains. Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products. Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products. Prepares test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests. Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation. Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements. Works on articles of limited complexity following established drawings and requirements.
Proficient with Fanuc and/or Siemens controlled CNC milling machines, CNC lathes & CNC mill-turn machines.
Performs set-ups and machining on 3, 4 & 5 axis CNC milling machines of production parts for 737, 767, 777 / 777x & 787.
Hand finish and edge break of aluminum, stainless & titanium production parts.
Performs production part inspection with all manner of hand inspection tools during production.
Performs part production using established drawings, specifications and requirements.
Utilize and follow standardized work and step details required for production parts and assemblies.
Use BPSM or RPS to support real time problem solving stop work if / when required to find the true root cause.
Ensure all parts are inspected prior to closing an operation so we do not pass on any defects to our downstream customers.
