Job Title: Electrical Engineer IV Job Type: Full time; contract (6 months) Location: Cupertino, CA 95014 Schedule: 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day. Hybrid (Tuesday-Thursday in office, Monday and Friday remote)
Job Summary Strong electrical engineering background with experience in designing high quality hardware and software for computer systems.
Work alongside Rel DRIs on Power Adapter, Cable, and Inductive NPI projects.
Create reliability test plans, monitor rel test completion, summarize/analyze rel test results under the supervision of other Rel DRIs.
Meet with cross-functional team to provide regulars status updates (in-person and virtual).
Meet with in-region rel team to monitor rel test progress and coordinate FA activities (virtual only).
Prepare one-pagers and rel test result summaries for presentation to cross-functional teams and management.
Responsibilities include:
Design and development of power electronics, analog circuitry, AC/DC power supplies and adapters for computer systems.
Development of products to achieve international EMC and safety approvals.
Troubleshooting, evaluating, and testing power electronics in a lab environment.
Working with and managing suppliers/manufacturing partners. Interfacing with multi-disciplinary product teams. Schematic capture.
Review and Manage PCB layout design.
Required Experience and Skills:
3+ years overall experience needed.
Must have solid EE fundamentals - strong analog design skills.
AC/DC power supply design and development experience.
Extensive power electronics lab testing/troubleshooting experience.
Good knowledge of ATE systems. Experience of design characterization process.
Must have hands-on experience in prototype bring-up and debugging, functional verification and manufacturing support.
Must have experience of involvement in high volume products from beginning to end and dealing with contract manufacturers.
System application of power supplies.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Pay Details: $75.00 to $80.00 per hour
