What You’ll Do:

Responsible for continuing the system design vulnerable to emerging Navy requirements in security, system operations, and maintenance issues
Monitor and proactively respond to emerging issues before they negatively impact operations
Quickly and efficiently, isolate and repair faults using diagnostic applications and tools
Provide training and support to more junior engineers
Mitigate vulnerabilities identified via Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) & Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA)
Responsible for developing detailed Plans Of Action And Milestones (POAMs) for vulnerabilities which can not immediately be mitigated
Provide input to senior staff regarding the security posture, health and status of all equipment and supporting network components
Maintain lab equipment performance by establishing quality standards, developing operations, quality and troubleshooting procedures, ensuring staff compliance, certifying instrument performance; arranging equipment replacement, service and repair
What You’ll Need:

Secret Clearance
A positive “can-do” attitude and team player
LINUX and Windows administration and hardening expertise
IAT Level 2 certification (security + cert)
COTS Software Implementation experience
Information assurance experience (patching, STIGs, etc)
Systems administration experience
Strong communication skills
Experience with virtual machines, scripting and mixed Linux/Windows operating environment
Demonstrated ownership, accountability and a track records of timely completion and proper control of projects, tasking and company initiatives
Demonstrated ability to understand where and how our programs and projects fit into the bigger picture
Demonstrated ability to manage, understand and communicate status of priorities in light of numerous competing goals, strategies and objectives. 
Agile experience preferred.

*U.S. Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, a related specialized area or field combined with 8 + years of relevant work experience; or Master’s Degree combined with 6 + Years of relevant work experience.
