Buyer Specialist

Description:
A Buyer Specialist contract job is currently available through Belcan at one of our key aerospace clients in Stratford, CT. To be considered for this role, you must have previous experience in acquisition of various goods and services. In this job, you will support procurement of specialized equipment and services.

Buyer Specialist Job Duties:

* Prepare bid packages; analyze and evaluate proposals
* Negotiate subcontract provisions; select or recommend subcontractors
* Award and administer resulting subcontracts
* Supplier relationship building, both internally and externally

Qualifications:
* Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred
* Two to five years of experience in supply chain, specifically with procurement/buying
* Proven Procurement track record with strong negotiation skills
* Experience in the fact finding process, price cost analysis and detailed contract justification is required
* Legal authorization to work in US required

Desired Skills:
* SAP purchasing process experience
* BS degree
