AIRFRAME ENGINEERING ESTIMATING SPECIALIST

Description:

The selected candidate will provide support the Aircraft Design and Manufacturing Engineering (ADME) organization as member of the ADME Core Services group.

The ADME Core Services group supplements ADME’s technical engineering expertise with best-in-class project execution capabilities enabling it to excel in meeting defined business objectives. The Engineering Estimating element of Core Services supports Sikorsky USGBO Proposals for both Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) customers.

The Engineering Estimating Specialist will:

Support the Estimating Lead by developing estimates and proposal related documents.
Provide detailed estimates to the Estimating Lead based on USGBO schedules, Statements of Work, Configuration Matrices, and Bill of Materials.
Help develop Engineering Design plans to support proposal requirements.
Estimate Airframe Design Engineering budgets.
Must have a working knowledge of Airframe Structures and Aircraft systems. Experience with the Blackhawk product preferred.
Must have a working knowledge of aircraft drawings. Must be able to interpret aircraft drawing and Bills of Material. Experience in Airframe Design required.
Working knowledge of a WBS structure and the SAC Contract Operating System (COS) is preferred.
Must have a working knowledge of DFARS compliant estimating requirements.
Estimate Airframe Process Engineering budgets.
Must have a working knowledge of Aircraft Planning and Tooling methods.
A Working knowledge of Systems, Applications & Products in Data Processing (SAP) and Solumina is a plus.
Review Proposal Statements of Work. Understand requirements and provide feedback on compliance issues.
Review Proposal Schedules. Provide feedback on plan/schedule issues.
Help develop Engineering Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) activities and linkages.
Must be able to work independently and coordinate efforts with concurrent branches/resources.
Experience/Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate many or all of the following qualifications:

BS in engineering or suitable equivalent
Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in aircraft design or manufacturing engineering
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in aircraft estimating
Ability to communicate effectively with leadership and working level team members
Highly motivated and flexible individual with a track record of demonstrated results
Working knowledge of SAC Contract Operating System (COS). Experience with Systems, Applications & Products in Data Processing (SAP) is a plus. Experience with Solumina is a plus
Strong MS Excel, Word & Power Point skills
