Electrical Design & Analysis Engineer 3

Chipton-Ross is seekinga Electrical Design & Analysis Engineer 3 for an opening in Tukwila, WA.

This engineer will be capable of working in a fast paced environment on a variety of programs. Team work, strong communication, and technical excellence in the area of FPGA system design and programming are qualifications for this position. The Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) Design Engineer is responsible for engineering design and development through the entire product life cycle of electronic subsystem development. This engineer will contribute to design, develop, document and build solutions for electronic systems for a variety of client Phantom Works programs. This environment is fast paced and requires adaptability between programs and priorities. The FPGA Design Engineer is responsible for a number of activities including but not limited to:
•Design, development, integration and test of FPGA and electrical subsystem hardware
•Requirements development and verification
•FPGA coding, development, testing, analysis and troubleshooting

•Prior experience with Verilog, VHDL, or System Verilog
•Prior FPGA and electronics testing experience
•Proficient with electronic test equipment and analysis
•Strong communication and team working skills
•Ability to adapt to fast paced work environment

•Prior experience developing hardware for space applications
•Test planning and execution experience
•Object-oriented programming knowledge
•Script writing experience and exposure to industry standard methods for development and testing

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

WORK HOURS: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
