Description:

• We are currently seeking qualified candidates for Systems Software Engineering positions on the Rotary Wing FMS in the Flight Management Applications department located in Cedar Rapids, IA.


• This team is responsible for designing and testing flight management software (navigation, flight planning, guidance, hardware status and control) for rotary wing aircraft.


• The primary tasks for this position include requirements and test procedure development.

Qualifications include: 

• The Candidate must have FMS and Python experience


• Experience with systems and software tools (DOORS, Python, ADA, Matlab)


• Experience with development, verification and integration of Flight Management Systems


• Experience interacting with domestic and international customers and peers


• Time management skills - ability to work unsupervised, multi-task and coordinate work


• Basics of risk management (identify, quantify, and mitigate risks)


• Effective communication (written, verbal, interpersonal)


• Scope management


• Perform cost/benefit analysis


• Familiarity with the AGILE development process

Top Requirements

1. Previous experience with Flight management systems development, integration or verification


2. Previous experience with python


3. Previous experience using DOORS


4. Track and report technical, cost and schedule issues for their assigned scope of work
