Business Improvement Manager - MA

Description:
Chipton Ross is seeking a Business Improvement Manager in Shoreview, MN.

Job Summary: This is a critical leadership position reporting directly to the Director of Finance at Hill-Rom's Respiratory Care division. This position is responsible to manage and lead a team that includes project management, quality analysts, business analysts, and training specialists with a goal to drive lean business processes and implement sound project management practices across the division. This position will provide direction and coaching, and will influence and build the culture for increased Continuous Improvement (CI) efforts across business unit.

Responsibilities:
o Team is responsible for supporting Respiratory Care's reporting and analysis needs.
o Business Improvement & Projects
o Lead the Respiratory Care Value Improvement Program (VIP) to ensure successful project execution to meet critical business needs
o Mentor and train project leaders and cross functional team members; develop common understanding of relevant concepts & available tools. Drive consistency across products and programs.
o Develop infrastructure tools and supporting materials, including training to support the Company's Lean initiatives. Conduct workshops and other training programs that foster the cross functional deployment of Lean Methodology.
o Complete complex transactional projects to drive results for the business focusing on revenue generation and cycle time reduction. Provide business case for prioritizing high-impact opportunities establishing links to business strategies and sustainable process improvement.
o Track project progress and closure.
o Facilitate the execution of interdepartmental business projects by acting as a senior subject matter expert.
o Provide advice to management on alternative ways to operate the business to be more consistent with best practices and relevant benchmarks.
o IT Support Requests
o Responsible for maintaining and managing IT Support Requests (enhancements, break/fixes, compliance, etc…)
o Responsible for maintaining and managing Business Workflow Notifications supported by IT.
o Team is responsible for testing and implementing upgrades to the TIMS system used for third party payer billing operations
o Oversee the development and execution of internal training programs and courses
o Provide leadership of RC's Quality Analyst function ensuring quality systems are in place for transactional business process data including capturing quality requirements, developing tracking tools and measurements for improvement, and monitoring the effectiveness of the controls.
o Culture - Focus on business performance that consistently strives to eliminate waste, improve customer satisfaction, and increase market share via the use of Lean tools and continuous improvement methodologies.
o Facilitate and drive change in a fast-paced changing environment. Act as a key driver of change within the business, supporting management/cross functional decisions by communicating the enterprise-wide changes to employees (and other stake holders such as suppliers) and helping them to learn, understand, adjust and grow with the business.
o Develop appropriate dashboards & influence cross functional team members to meet aggressive Lean program and business targets.
o Drive effective on-going communications throughout the organization on the implementation of lean thinking to help drive culture change and advance lean competencies; provide clear and regular communication regarding the Company's goals and objectives of the lean thinking and to provide a system for measurement of results of lean activities on an ongoing basis.
o Work with a broad range of employee levels ranging from individual contributors to Executive Leadership Team. Lead and navigate complex projects through to completion while managing multiple stakeholders.
o Take a strategic view of the organization and use CI methodologies to drive core/strategic processes to respond to the needs of customers with minimal waste.
o Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements:
o Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
o 7+ years of experience with project management leadership, Lean transformation work and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
o Strong technical acumen including experience with software such as Cognos and PowerBI
o Previous team supervision experience required.
o Demonstrated success in implementing change and driving improvements across transactional business processes and at all levels of an organization.
o Results-oriented leadership style with strong influencing skills.
o Credible teacher to diverse levels of people and capable of developing and executing lean strategies that yield measurable business results.
o Strong experience and skills with documentation of business processes, project requests and charters, and project statuses/summaries for audiences of varying experience and authority.
o Excellent communication skills, including effective presentation skills
o Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
o Ability to work with basic mathematical and statistical concepts and ability to apply analytical concepts to practical situations and solutions.
o Ability to analyze business processes and recommend changes to achieve optimal business outcome. Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions and recommend practical solutions.
o Excellent communication, leadership and team building skills and experience with multifunctional teams. Strong customer orientation and strategic focus.
o Strong proven problem-solving, change management and influence skills are a must; ability to negotiate and communicate at different levels of an organization.
o Proven ability to deliver results in a complex /global environment and to solve complex technical and process problems.

Education:
o BA/BS Degree in related field or equivalent work experience; Master's Degree preferred.
