Stress Engineer

Description:
The selected candidate will conduct structural analysis for space flight or tactical missions and is expected to lead or work with a team of specialized junior and senior structural engineers to evaluate EO/IR hardware designs for static and dynamic environments for strength, fatigue, durability, stiffness, thermoelastic behavior, and other system and sub-system level performance metrics such as Line of Sight.

• The Sr. Principal Mechanical Engineer is expected to be closely aligned with the Program and is responsible for all phases of the program life-cycle.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience performing opto-mechanical structural analysis for space or airborne structures.
• Structural analysis of ground-based systems will not be accepted.
• Strong knowledge in the use of commercial Finite Element Analysis codes and modelers, preferably NASTRAN/PATRAN
