Structural / Piping Design Engineer (remote position)
National Engineering Service Corp has an immediate opening for Structural / Piping Design Engineer for a company located in CT, however the job can be done remotely from any location in US (the candidate must be US Citizen).
The Design Engineer will be responsible for designing for piping systems for utility / transmission and distribution stations.
• High level knowledge of AutoPipe and applicable piping codes.
• Build models of existing pipe lines
• Build new models (new design) and incorporate the necessary parameters to ensure safety, constructability, cost, maintenance, schedule, and practicality.
• Produce drawings from conception to final product
• Review other’s work and provide corrections
• Identify concept flaws or questionable design decisions and provide alternative solutions
Additional skills that would be a plus:
• STAAD Pro. / RAM.. Structural steel analysis models and connections. Develop designs based on
• AISC
• ASCE
• Local building codes
• Use existing plans for developing new structures
