Manufacturing Engineer 2

Our client, a global security and aerospace company, is principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture, integration and sustainment of advanced technology systems, products and services. Solving complex challenges and delivering innovative solutions to help customers keep people safe and provide them essential services, our client is hiring for the following critical need:

Manufacturing Engineer 2

Fort Worth, TX

Join our team as a Manufacturing Engineer to provide line side ME support to production on the F35 program for J860 aircraft mate.

• Design operations sequence and specify procedures for fabricating tools, equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
• Adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
• Closely coordinate and collaborate with the Product Focus Teams (PMT), Factory Material Flow, Tool Services, and Facilities in developing and implementing production readiness in each of the component and assembly areas.
• Develop manufacturing processes applicable to statistical process control; may develop those techniques.
• Guide engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
• Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
• Direct shop floor support on 1st shift, maintaining manufacturing plans, process standards, tooling requirements, engineering change implementation, and process improvements.
• Determine root cause of non-conformances, implement Corrective Action, investigating tooling issues, assessing and providing tooling corrective action, initiating tooling rework activities, and providing technical support to the Production team.
• Provide technical assistance to leadership, supervision and mechanics to ensure all product is processed in compliance with engineering and specification requirements, provide work around plan development as required and support improvement initiatives.
• 1st shift, Thursday through Monday; 5/40 (6:00am through 2:30). Flexible to work only Friday, Saturday, and Sunday if desired.
• Initial training will be provided and will occur during the week for several weeks.

• Experience/skill with Lean manufacturing and CATIA
• Experience/skill with assembly process
• Able to read engineering drawings and work in a production environment
• Able to work with others
*U.S. Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree and 4-8 years’ experience; or Master’s degree and 2-6 years’ experience
