Description
This position is for an autonomy systems engineering to support V&V development. Skills and Responsibilities include: Evaluating, updating and documenting System Engineering products. This includes a strong ability to coordinate across multiple disciplines and stakeholders, to synthesize best solutions. Strong collaboration with a team will be needed to ensure that all stakeholder needs are captured and validated. Performs analyses for total systems at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Ability/familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering tools and practices. Experience with requirement development, decomposition, analysis, verification and validation Developing and optimizing System Engineering tools, techniques, and processes for Autonomous Systems development, with attention to system architecture definition and system verification and validation. The successful candidate will work with engineers, technical experts, and leaders from across the corporation to develop the engineering discipline needed to fully integrate the novel technologies and processes required for the development of Autonomous Systems. The candidate should have demonstrable experience in the following areas: • Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and techniques;
Skill/Experience/Education
Mandatory
BS Degree in engineering, applied mathematics, physics, robotic systems, artificial intelligence or closely related technical field and 2 years of professional level career experience. C++, • Requirements development and management; • System interface definition; • System architecture development and management; • Conducting technical discussions and coordination with the customer and suppliers to definitize requirements • Identifying and conducting trade studies to arrive at an achievable system design; • Generate and execute a Systems Engineering and Management Plan; • Working with and integrating new technologies and new product development; Knowledge of basic principles of autonomy including perception, object detection, path planning, controls, artificial intelligence, machine learning are desired attributes. Additional desired skills: • Control Account Management; • Familiarity with product development activities and whole life cycle concerns; • Working with diverse engineering disciplines across geographical regions; • Ability to solicit process and data needs from various stakeholders and synthesize them into achievable program goals; • Ability to envision goals, define executable plans to reach them, and lead a team in achieving those goals; • Familiarity with requirements compliance assessments, verification, and validation; • Familiarity with integration and testing of systems and components; • Good written and oral communication skills
