Hardware Engineer

Description:
The Candidate shall provide on-site hardware support and IT support. The support tasks are expected to include, but not limited to:
Interact with Systems Engineers, Software Testers, and Software Developers to track and prioritize incidents and tasks in the request ticket queue. Manage the hardware inventory including laptops, computing servers, and network equipment of the organization including Government Furnished Equipment (GFE). Support the maintenance and update of a development and testing environment that approximates the customer’s environment consisting of several servers and dozens of virtual machines. Execute software installation and deployment to computing systems. Manage and document the configuration of the computing system. Configure hardware in preparation for testing events. Perform emergency or periodically planned information systems administration tasks, maintenance/upgrades and configuration changes. Test system and software as necessary to ensure proper operation. Administer IT/Software systems including laptops, computing servers, and network equipment.

Required: They shall have extensive IT technical support skills with superior knowledge of operating systems and software, excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills, and proficient knowledge of Microsoft products (Windows, Office, etc), Oracle, and networking (VPN,
Security, etc.).

Desired: It is preferred the support personnel have three (3) years of hardware and/or IT experience creating and managing virtual machines or managing a network0.

Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
