Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Engineer performs functions in the design, fabrication, modification and/or evaluation of manufacturing operations.

Job Duties:

• Prepares plans, conducts support studies, and provides analysis or tests in the development of manufacturing operations
• Responsibilities are diverse in scope where analysis of situations or data requires sound technical judgment
• Utilizes lean manufacturing to reduce cost and cycle time
• The Manufacturing Engineer performs complex functions in the design, fabrication, modification and/or evaluation of manufacturing operations
• Prepares complicated plans, conducts support studies, and provides analysis or tests in the development of manufacturing operations
• Responsibilities are diverse in scope where analysis of situations or data requires sound technical judgment
• Utilizes strong lean manufacturing skillset to reduce cost and cycle time
• Resolves engineering problems by collecting and analyzing information; researching, analyzing, adapting, and modifying engineering techniques; recommending solutions; reviewing drawings, schematics, and diagrams; evaluating installations, components, materials, and suppliers; resolving design integration issues; developing specifications and safety standards
• Lean manufacturing skill set and knowledge with experience implementing lean methodologies/tools
• Experience establishing labor standards, line balancing, and factory layouts to improve material flow and labor efficiencies to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost targets
• Evaluates electrical systems, avionics, products, components and applications applying knowledge of electricity and materials
• Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment and practices; soliciting observations of stakeholders and application of Lean Manufacturing techniques
• Assures compliance with all applicable specs and regulations
• Resolves complex engineering problems by collecting and analyzing information; researching, analyzing, adapting, and modifying engineering techniques; recommending solutions; reviewing drawings, schematics, and diagrams; evaluating installations, components, materials, and suppliers; resolving design integration issues; developing specifications and safety standards
• Strong lean manufacturing skill set and knowledge with experience implementing lean methodologies/tools
• High level of experience establishing labor standards, line balancing, and factory layouts to improve material flow and labor efficiencies to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost targets
• Evaluates electrical systems, avionics, products, components and applications applying knowledge of electricity and materials
• Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment and practices; soliciting observations of stakeholders and application of Lean Manufacturing techniques
• Assures compliance with all applicable specs and regulations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree - Engineering (4 Yr) or related required; Advanced Engineering Degree, BB Certification, and/or GB Certification preferred
• 1-4 years’ Aircraft Manufacturing/Maintenance/Repair experience required; 5-9 years’ Aircraft Manufacturing/Maintenance/Repair experience preferred
• Strong Verbal Communication
• Strong Written Communication
• Analytical and Statistical Tools
• Strong Attention to Detail
• Adept at Analyzing and Resolving Complex Information
• MES, CATIA, and SAP experience
• Proficiency with planning practices and tools
• Proficient in Lotus Notes, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, & Power Point), MES, CATIA, & SAP
• Strong organizational skills
• Presentation Skills
• Utilization of Lean Production concepts
• Data analysis and consolidation
• Cope with deadlines and pressured situations
• Interact with management, staff, and production personnel
• Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations
• Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required
• Employees will be subject to the random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Foreign travel may be required
• Ability to obtain a Passport and a Brazilian Visa
