Systems Engineer IV- ACTIVE SECRET (PA)

Description:
ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE REQUIRED TO START.

Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces. Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture. Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success. Develops, maintains and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes. Resolves cross-functional technical issues.

We are seeking a System Security Engineer (Level 4) to support assignment to update our Program Protection Implementation Plan for the V-22 program. The assignment is based in Ridley Park, PA and requires no travel. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of DoDI 8500.01 and DoDI 5200.44. The candidate will be expected to communicate and work closely with process and system owners, information technology management, IA peers and other Functional Areas to ensure the relevance of program protection requirements. The majority of the work will include technical documentation review, assessing vulnerabilities, conducting risk analysis and providing support to program meetings.
_US Citizenship required due to government program specification:
_Preferred DOORS (Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System)- Experience in performing risk assessments and risk management.
_Preferred DXL (DOORS eXtension Language) Code experience- Experience in analysis of requirements, architecture design.
_Preferred Rational database experience- Experience with avionics and military platform operations.
_Preferred Java Script (will be needed to supplement the RPE experience)- Working knowledge of DoDI 8500.01 and DoDI 5200.44.
_Required -Production Line Management (design for reuse) - Intermediate level - Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Desired skills- Familiarization with DOORS and Rhapsody is desired. Experience with defense acquisition process is highly desired.

Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science
degree from an accredited course of study, in
engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
Additionally.. One or more years experience with System Security Engineering BS in Engineering. Must have a BS in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics. Aerospace experience is desired, but not required.
