Description: He will be joining in the early stage of a premier project for the company, provides expertise in the area of system safety, including identifying functions and associated hazard classifications, deriving safety requirements, and performing analyses to verify that safety requirements have been met. This is a critical role for the project and will start with PSSA and run through the whole development process.
Serves in a technical leadership role for safety aspects of product design and development, including advising product development teams of safety considerations for new products and conducting safety analyses in support of product design.
Serves in a technical leadership role for safety aspects of certification projects, conducting safety analyses in support of aircraft certification.
Authors and/or reviews safety documents, including Functional Hazard Assessments, Preliminary System Safety Assessments, Fault Tree Analyses, Common Cause Analyses, and System Safety Assessments.
Understands design and/or certification constraints and works effectively with product development teams to complete complex, new, or significant projects.
Provides reliable solutions to a wide range of difficult problems using sound problem-solving techniques.
Serves as a mentor to less experienced aircraft systems engineers.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering or related engineering disciplinary.
10 years of aerospace industry experience.
Demonstrates competent knowledge in the area of System Safety.
Demonstrates solid understanding of industry guidance and regulations associated with aviation safety analyses (ARP4761/ARP4754).
Experience with FHA,SSA, FEMA, FTA.
Demonstrated capability to work in a team environment.
