Transportation Analyst

We are currently searching for the right talent to fill this opportunity:

Transportation Analyst
(U.S. Citizenship Required*)
Renton, WA

Responsibilities:
• Provide pre-transportation functions for Dangerous Goods.
• Responsible for Dangerous Goods pre-transportation functions, including, but are not limited to the following:
• Determining the UN Number, Proper Shipping Name, Hazard Class, and Packaging Group
• Providing DG packaging plan
• Determining marking and labeling for a package
• Preparing shipping papers
• Reviewing a shipment to verify compliance with the HazMat Regulations
• Signing the DG Declaration- Service Provider
• Save a copy of DG Declaration- Service Provider
• Arranging transportation for surface and air

• Provide support for the development of the statement of work to secure cost-effective transportation services.
• Analyze carrier performance data for cycle time and cost Interfaces with internal/external compliance organizations and responds to Customs and Border Protection inquiries for export control issues to ensure compliance with export regulations, federal regulations, Foreign Trade Regulations and the Compliance Offices.
• Plan & certify the shipment of dangerous goods. Investigates loss and damage claims to carriers.
• Design transportation plans and solutions.
• Provide program managers with the development of transportation plans.
• Identify requirements and business rules for third party freight audit and payment provider to ensure compliance.

Qualification:
• This location will have openings on 2nd - 3rd shift Monday through Friday and 1st -3rd shifts on Weekends
*U.S. Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.

Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required, combined with 1+ years of related work experience.

Conditions of Employment:
Applicants selected for employment will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation which may include education, criminal and work history verifications.
