Information Systems & Technology Manager

PDS TECH INC is seeking an IT/IS Manager for our client in Santa Maria
This is a Direct/Perm position - NOT contract

The perimeter is to manage the IS/IT activities on the site of Santa Maria (California) and also support the site of Chihuahua (Mexico). 
Acts as the primary point of communication between internal operating and functional teams and external group IS/IT organization (ZIS). 
The IS/IT manager will supervise an organization composed of Business Analysis team, ERP manager and Business Application manager. 
The position is supervised by the IS/IT Director

Information Systems: 
In charge of developing and implementing informative solutions to increase company efficiency. 
Manage development projects, deployment, service levels, customer requests and troubleshooting for each information systems in place (ERP, PLM, HR systems, BI, all Business Applications) 

Information Technology: 
The IT manager oversees the administration and maintenance of IT equipment. With primary objective to control budget, service level and customer satisfaction, the manager has responsibility to verify the purchase, installation, performance, and life-cycle maintenance of PCs, Phones, servers and LAN network connectivity equipment. 
Performs local administration and operations functions as appropriate in accordance with standards, policies and procedures.
• Supervise the integrity and performance of the ERP system (Royal 4) through audit and functional developments in coordination with ZIS 
• Supervise the development and deployment of the new BI tool (BIRST) by supporting the BA team in executing the project planning in term of timing, resources and budget 
• Supervise closely implementation of new Business Applications projects from customer functional specifications to deployment 
• Coordinate the preparation to migrate to new systems designed by Zodiac Group (i.e. PLM, ERP). 
• Manage the resolution of IT/IS request tickets, measure and improve the performance 
• Ensure the proper utilization of group systems (i.e. Concur for travel expenses, ZEN for collaborative solution, etc...• Review purchase requests and scrutinize expenses 
• Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action 
• Coordinate regularly with Zodiac sister company who provides IT services to ensure service level and control over budget 
• Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by identifying problems and anticipating requirements


'• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Finance or Industrial management field (certification in a relevant discipline) 
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence solutions (preferably IBM Cognos, Oracle BI) 
• Strong experience and knowledge with data warehousing / database concepts / data modeling 

• Experience in programing 
• Preferably experience in industrial environment''• Knowledge in Relational, OLAP and ETL concepts and methodologies 
Programming skills preferably in SQL, VBA, Java 
knowledge of Testing methodologies, creating test plan, validating test cases 
• Strong Oral and written communications skills 
• Ability to manage other Business Analysts and Developers 

• Ability to understand business and industrial concepts and process 
• Hands-on experience administering, deploying and maintaining models, reports, and cubes'
