Vulnerability Engineer - Puppet RedHat STIG

Description:
We have an outstanding Consulting position for a Vulnerability Management Engineer to join a leading Company located in the Manassas, VA surrounding area.

The Vulnerability Management Engineer will be responsible for implementing changes on Linux platforms to remediate security findings resulting from security scans, STIG changes, POA&M and IAVAs. The engineer will be expected to execute and test these changes independently.

Job Responsibilities:
Platform hardening of both application software and operating system software. This will be done through the configuration changes and OS patches using Puppet. Monitoring and assessing IAVAs and executing fixes as needed. Identify and track vulnerabilities within a system, and execute Cybersecurity measures to address them.
Collaboration with other key stakeholders such as the customer, program management, and testers on the platform security will be required to improve the overall security posture.
Perform security scans and develop POA&Ms.

Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of current Secret clearance to start.
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
Extensive experience with: RedHat Linux Expertise, ACAS, Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), Puppet, Vulnerator, Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), Security Requirements Guides (SRGs).
