This position will provide electrical and instrumentation support to a facility that manufactures active ingredient used in the formulation of crop herbicides.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
-Support the day-to-day electrical and instrumentation needs in a chemical manufacturing unit. This support may involve troubleshooting and some maintenance
-Together with process and mechanical engineers, develop scopes defining improvement projects (safety, yields, capacity, quality, reliability and cost improvement), including alternatives and cost-benefit analysis, as needed
-Specify instruments (flow, pressure, temperature, etc.), control devices, motors, and other electrical components
-Review and evaluate vendor information for instrumentation and electrical components and determine suitability for specific projects applications
-Prepare maintenance plans for restoring and maintaining equipment to operating condition in a minimum amount of time, balancing repair cost and minimizing future failures
-Interacts with E&I maintenance technicians, production technicians, maintenance go-to, and others who work in and support the unit
-Create, modify and validate documentation related to process operations, safety, and applicable environmental regulations, as needed – including electrical drawings and engineering flow diagrams/P&ID diagrams
-Comply with plant safety rules
-Working knowledge of Engineering tools and software and ability to read and understand process flow diagrams, line drawings P&ID and schematics
