12 Month Contract

Pay rate: $35-40/hr W2

Sr. Manufacturing Engineer/ Sr. Electrical Engineer- Electronic Control Work Center and Circuit Test Lab
Summary/Responsibilities:
This Sr. Engineer is responsible for Leading the Manufacture and Test of Space Flight Circuit Cards and Box Level Hardware.
- The candidate should have detailed technical knowledge and experience in the manufacture and test of space flight circuit card assemblies. Must have a working knowledge of manufacturing processes and industry specifications applicable to spaceflight hardware such as NASA-Std 8739.1, NASA-Std 8739.4, and IPC J-Std. Proficient in: Polymerics (staking and conformal coat) and related materials, component lead forming, and soldering. Expert in removal and replacement of components; Chip capacitors & resistors, FPGA, Inductors, components that are thermal bonded. Be able to write clear and concise instruction for manufacturing technicians to execute the work.
- The candidate should be proficient at interpreting complex engineering drawings, schematics, diagrams, and specifications and should possess excellent technical writing skills. Experience using MES ERP system or iBase-t Solumina is strongly desired. Authoring of work plans and test instructions to support the successful testing of circuit card and box level test
- Additionally, the candidate needs to manage Program Schedules to insure on-time and on-budget product delivery. Must have experience with Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) or Integrated Cost and Schedule (ICAS). Must have experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) A successful candidate with have demonstrated ability to translate complex IMS schedules to the factory floor Engineers and Technicians.
- The candidate should be able to proactively identify, document, escalate, support, and resolve technical issues and discrepancies test failure (TF) & Non-Conforming Report (NCR) and work with teammates (Engineering, QA, Management, and Customers) towards prompt resolution on moderately challenging problems. Experience with New Product Development, concurrent engineering, and design for manufacturability best practices a plus.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in: Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Operations and Production Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related Technical degree plus 5 years minimum of related experience in the satellite industry supporting Space Flight Hardware Manufacturing. Must be able to obtain security clearance (US citizenship required).
- Candidate must possess demonstrated leadership skills, excellent interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication ability.
- This position may require weekend work and extended daily hours to meet production demands. Also, occasional short term projects with travel may be required.
- Knowledge of TipQA, Windchill, MES, COGNOS, Microsoft Project, Costpoint, and CREOView preferred.
