Engineering Technician

Description:

Opportunity for an individual that can work under the direction of scientists and engineers with the independence expected to complete tasks assigned. A successful applicant must have excellent electrical, mechanical, and computer skills with a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office. Familiarity with automation or PLC programming is a plus. Person should have the ability to conceptualize designs to deliver new research equipment. Also, testing, troubleshooting andevaluation of new research. Requires 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
