PDS is seeking a Computing Security & Information Protection Specialist for an open position in Chantilly, VA 20151. 
 This position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance, for which the US Government requires US citizenship.

In your role you will:
  • Lead a diverse team of computing security specialists in support of a multi-site programs and rely on their security and information technology background to evaluate computing/information security vulnerabilities and develop response plans to mitigate identified risks
  • Lead the development and deployment of computing and information security requirements, policies, standards, guidelines and procedures with multiple stakeholder organizations, program/system or unique requirements.
  • Evaluates and responds to emerging security issues.
  • Evaluates capability risk/gaps and takes and/or coordinates action to meet objectives.
  • Analyze security situations, environmental factors and business objectives.
  • Advises on a broad range of information security issues and interprets data protection requirements.
  • Leads the development of security plans to meet assurance or protection requirements.
  • Analyze and document computing security events.
  • Identify root causes, prioritize threats and recommend and/or implement corrective action.
  • Determine acceptability of unique configurations and verifies security profile settings.
  • Test and deploy risk mitigation processes and tools; monitor outcome and take action.
  • Lead or participate on incident response teams.
  • Lead or conduct investigations and take corrective action or recommend further actions.
  • Interact with external regulatory and/or law enforcement agencies.
  • Perform security compliance monitoring. Participate in security policy assessments and audits.
  • Conduct corrective action planning and/or execution.
  • Provide consultation and advice on computing security issues
  •  Develop information security training materials and processes used to brief general and privileged users
  •  Analyze new technologies, both hardware and software, to determine security vulnerabilities and determine mitigations
  •  Develop security plans and associated ICD 503 documentation
  • Work comfortably and efficiently in a dynamic environment with demanding deadlines to ensure that customer needs are met and effectively promoted in policy and security standards

Technical bachelor’s degree and typically 9 or more years’ related work experience or a Master’s degree with typically 7 or more years’ or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.
