Job Title: Material Handler
Max rate $17/hr

Remaining Positions: 1
Duties: • Requires energetic individual to organize and maintain hardware/material storage area and re-stock the Kanban storage area for a busy production floor. 60%
• Records number of units of materials moved or handled on material forms. 5%
• Tracks hardware requirements in production schedule to ascertain materials or containers to be moved. 5%
• Works closely with material planner, technicians and facility manager to ensure hardware delivered to production floor on time
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves. 20%
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Maintains the highest level of cleanliness and organization in responsible areas. 10%
• Utilizes bar-code scanning to track inventory and update Maestro/Oracle products
• Tracks tooling inventory and calibration cycles and submits move orders to transport to and from Gage lab for calibration
• Assists Manager with tracking training requirements in Sumtotal
Skills: Skills:
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to use a computer and to learn business software – Oracle, Maestro, Sumtotal
• Ability to convert and accurately use various units of measure (sq. feet to inches, metric to English, etc.)
• Experience working within an ISO controlled organization
Physical Demands
• Very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, etc.
• Frequently lifts or moves items over 25 pounds - There may be instances where a tool of up to 50 lbs will need to be moved. That would be a two-man lift however.
Required experience:
• Logistics: 1 year.
• Technical aptitude & basic knowledge of tools, calibration equipment desired.
• Knowledge of Maestro, Oracle and Sumtotal desired.

Education: • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Higher education desired
• Training in logistics desired
