Description:
We are looking for an experienced Buyer to join our team! The ideal candidate will have purchasing / inventory experience in the Aviation or Aerospace industry.

Perform duties involved with the obtaining of materials, equipment, parts, and supplies within limits of delegated authority at the lowest possible cost while maintaining a consistent standard of quality.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITY

· Analyze reorder list to determine which shop and inventory items need to be purchased; monitor stock usage and adjust reorder quantities as necessary.

· Review requisitions for stock and non-stock items and obtain competitive bids on items to be purchased.

· Prepare purchase orders and submit to vendors for acquisition of items; enter purchase order into computer and post to general ledge.

· Create invoice for counter sales; enter into computer and provide to accounting for payment.

· Disburse parts to personnel based upon work order and enter data into the computer to relive the inventory.

· Interview and evaluate vendor’s bids and recommend vendors consistent with considerations of price, quality, reliability, cost, delivery, service, and stands or quality.

· Contact vendors on adjustments, return or replacement of defective or damaged material or parts, incorrect material or parts, and delayed or late deliveries.

· Maintain files and records of current and potential vendor prices, delivery dates, inventories, etc.

· Maintain files of back orders, purchase orders, invoice files, and related purchasing records.

· Participate in annual inventory of stock and reconcile inventory with physical count.

· Work with vendor reps to research and identify part numbers.
