Senior Advanced Electrical Engineer
(US Citizenship Required*)
Pittsfield, MA

• Responsible for electrical technical planning, scheduling, cost analysis, risk analysis and successful execution of small to medium programs or major electrical subsystems of a larger program with substantial electrical content
• Develop
o Versa Module Eurocard (VME) Module Acceptance Tests
o Acceptance Test Pan (ATP) & Acceptance Test Specification (ATS)
o Power Supply Acceptance Tests
• Design Module Test Fixture
• Analyze Fault Coverage
• Lead
o requirements and functional allocation to electrical units, modules and components
o electrical reviews of electrical components, equipment and systems
o research and analysis of data, such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals, to determine feasibility of design or application
o small technical proposals; contribute to proposals
• Contribute to
o electrical requirements analysis, definition, & management; functional & performance analysis (timing, power, etc.); interface analysis and definition for design, integration and verification of electrical components, equipment and systems for major projects with substantial, complex electrical content
o generation and maintenance of electrical work products (plans, specifications, design documentation, etc.) for internal consumption and/or deliverable to external customers
o technical subcontract management; may include SOW development, proposal evaluation, source selection, technical oversight, and subcontractor work product evaluation and acceptance
• Develop and present electrical requirements, concepts, designs, decisions and results to internal management, other organizations, team mates and external customers
• Evaluate vendor capability to support product development
• Plan and lead electrical engineering root cause analysis for complex electrical issues, conduct experimental tests, evaluate results to formulate and implement solutions to issues
• Apply a strong understanding of organizationally defined electrical processes throughout the lifecycle of the program or project
• Participate in improving electrical organizational processes
• Support generation of technical engineering products via appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the electrical development life cycle
• Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability
• Exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignments
• Creatively work on diverse, complex problems, without direction, and with various work groups
• Regular contact with project leaders and Program Managers and Senior Managers including external customers
• May serve as a proposal cost or technical volume manager; may supervise lower level employees; may function in a project leadership role
• Travel may be required

• Required – Able to obtain Secret clearance within 24 months.
• Strong use / understanding of electrical engineering concepts, principles, processes, and theories
• Frequently contributes to the development of new theories and methods
• Aware of business objective and Engineering role in achieving
• Proficient MS Office
• Able to think creatively, multi-task, take initiative, quickly grasp & apply new information, exercise judgement, handle complex problems, track scope growth,
• Highly skilled in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions, written & verbally
• Able to recognize and clearly report information relevant to sound electrical engineering design
• Understands and applies basic project leadership principles including SPI/CPI, Earned Value, Cost Account Management (CAM), and Statistical Process Controls
• Module test and the test engineering process
• Test or implementation of COTs and NDI products
• Programming: LabView, Test Stand, Test Studio, PowerBook, C, and UNIX
• Scripting: Java, Kermit, Perl
• Testers: Teradyne Spectrum 9100, NH Research 8100i and 5700 Testers
• emPower test Executive
*US Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related required (or equivalent experience), and 8+ years’ experience; or Master's and 6+ years of experience.
