Electrical Engineer

Description:
We have an outstanding Contract position for an Electrical Engineer to join a leading Company located in the Minneapolis, MN surrounding area.

**US Citizenship is required.**

The Electrical Engineer supports the development, testing, fabrication, and fielding of highly complex equipment.

Responsibilities:
Researches, plans, designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates electronic and electrical systems and components
Utilizes advanced modeling and analysis tools to develop product specifications, models, simulations, technical data packages, and integration and verification procedures
Evaluates vendor capabilities, technologies, services, and their ability to deliver required products or services
The qualified candidate will work under the general direction of a project engineering lead to perform electrical system design on a variety of military systems, ranging from combat vehicles, gun systems, and guided munitions
The Electrical Engineer provides detailed engineering analysis of components, subsystems, and systems for military product application

Basic Hiring Criteria:
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field or 1+ years with a Master's degree

Desired Qualifications:
Ability to solve moderately complex technical design and development problems
Experience in creating, reading, and comprehending schematics and interconnect drawings
Ability to create and manage interface control documents
Ability to perform circuit simulation (PSpice or LTspice)
Effective verbal and written communication skills to convey data, information, and technical results
Hands-on troubleshooting of circuits using oscilloscopes and multimeters
Familiarity with MATLAB, Simulink, PSpice, LabVIEW, Test Stand, RS485, J-Tag, CANBus
Working knowledge of OrCAD and Visio
Good Communication skills
Experience with analog and digital circuit design and analysis
Experience developing technical documentation - such as drawings, reports, & technical analysis
Experience with the engineering design of wiring harnesses and cable assemblies for military systems
Experience with Programming National Instruments test equipment using Labview and Test Stand
