Contract Length: 12 months (opportunity for extension)

Summary:
Provides leadership, technical expertise, and guidance in avionics/electrical testing, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure aircraft are defect-free.
Supports efficiency and quality improvements while maintaining safety standards.
Lead and perform operational testing, troubleshooting, and repairs on avionics and electrical systems.
Train personnel on avionics installation, functional testing, and troubleshooting.
Ensure quality and efficiency in installations and repairs, using techniques such as splicing, soldering, and pinning.
Oversee compliance with engineering changes and modifications.
Operate and maintain test equipment for system evaluation and reliability testing.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with company safety and quality programs.
Perform pre-inspections to reduce rework and inspection time.
Adapt to schedule changes and coordinate with other teams on projects.
Support aircraft certification and final phase testing, including flight tests if required.
Conduct self-inspections for avionics testing functions.
Preferred ability to troubleshoot systems beyond avionics (e.g., hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls, environmental systems, or structural repairs).
APU and engine run qualifications preferred.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Required Skills:
High School Diploma or GED required.
6 years in avionics/electrical or
2 years of accredited aviation electronics schooling + 4 years related experience.
Desired Skills:
A&P License, FCC License, NCATT Certification.
