Skill/Experience/Education
Mandatory:
 Understanding of engineering issues and come up with cost effective solutions

 Experience in full-life cycle software applications development using an agile methodology, to include engineering, development, test and integration

 Thorough understanding of Object Oriented Programming (JAVA in particular) and understanding of the J2EE stack

 Experience with Spring Framework

 Experience with SOAP and REST web services

 Experience and/or knowledge of Flight Services and aviation / air traffic control

 Experience developing and creation with XML Schemas and Definitions

 Experience with Test Driven Development

 Familiarization with VersionOne

 Experience with the J2EE product stack

Description:
Under the direction of Leidos management, the Subcontractor shall perform systems engineering support and software development as needed for the AFSS (Automated Flight Service Station) system.

This position will be responsible for any/all of the following: articulating user needs and requirements form high level user stories; developing the design for the user interface framework; developing client and server side components; designing web pages; analyzing and designing databases within an application; and working in an Agile Scrum environment.

A strong knowledge of JAVA and J2EE, web services and internet-based applications is required.

The Subcontractor shall also perform integration of the components of the AFSS (Automated Flight Service Station) system and participate in the conduct of informal and formal testing of the AFSS system.

The integration and testing of the AFSS system may include the preparation of test documentation, the development of test cases and test scenarios, the development of test tools and aids, execution of tests and documenting test results.

o 3 Resources needed at Level 2 -Emerging authority typically with an advanced degree and 7+ years’ experience or bachelors with 9+ years’ experience or equivalent

o 3 resources Needed at level 3 - Expert, authority in discipline typically with an advanced degree and 12+ years’ experience or bachelors with 14+ years’ experience or equivalent
