Industrial Engineer

Use technical knowledge and engineering principles to measure, evaluate and record data related to manufacturing production, as directed by the site Industrial Engineering team. Lead, identify, and support manufacturing process improvements. Help to solve technical problems, and perform root cause analysis. Recommend, design, and develop methods of operation, material handling, and equipment layout. Tasks include, but are not limited to:

Perform time studies across production operations in order to establish accurate production times and routings and/or process improvement activities.
Maintain routings within the companies MRP software.
Aid in process optimization activities (line balancing, resource utilization, capacity planning, and process simulation).
Support the sites lean manufacturing/continuous improvement activities (6S, Value Stream Mapping, Gemba walks, shop floor management, KPIs, standard work development, etc.).
Assist in identification, selection, and execution of improvement projects across the production areas.
Lead and assist in design and development of equipment, tooling/fixtures, work cells, and layouts across production areas.
Work with Industrial Engineering team to help train and educate employees on lean manufacturing / continuous improvement
