MECHANICAL PROJECT / STAFF ENGINEER

Description:
Johnson Service Group (JSG) is teamed with a leader in the aerospace and defense markets.

We are currently searching for a Mechanical Project/Staff Engineer to lead the design and analysis of Hydraulic Flight Controls Actuation Systems for Defense and Aerospace applications.

Scope of Experience and Responsibilities:

10 plus years as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), leading innovation and technical development for hydraulic actuation systems.
Will be responsible for the New Product Introduction design, analysis, development and test for 'Platform Technologies'.
Ability to effectively lead a project team environment and collaborate with customers.

Knowledge of FEA and the use of related analysis tools and methodologies, to perform hydraulic, stress and control theory analysis.
Collaborate with other senior leadership, and may direct engineers, as required.
Will execute Design for Manufacturability (DFM) practices, within a Lean, Six Sigma environment.

Contribute to product design proposals with internal stakeholders, to ensure that customer requirements and specifications, as well as manufacturing/cost implications and met.
Implement process improvements at a senior project level.
Ability to successfully drive projects through the Product Lifecycle (PLC).

Education:

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent discipline.
Master of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent discipline is a plus.
