Hardware Test Engineer

Description:
Job Title: Hardware Test Engineer

Location: Sterling, VA

Duration: 6+ months

Pay Rate: $52.50 to $57.50/hr

Job Description:

The HW Test Engineer will support the continued operational capabilities of deployed UAV Ground Systems.
The Hardware Test Engineer will apply fundamental engineering skills in areas of computer and network hardware support, unit level test including application of proper ESD and safety guidelines, circuit card and system level test and operational deployment.
The Hardware Test Engineer will work with limited supervision of the HW lead in the execution of tasking.
Position may require occasional short term travel CONUS and OCONUS operational locations in support of System installation and upgrades.
9/80 work week
Experience and Education Requirement:

4 year degree in Engineering discipline
Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
Experience in design, selection, and integration of commercial hardware components
Firm understanding of hardware test methodologies
Hands on ability to perform test and debug procedures on commercial hardware components in an engineering lab environment
Experience working on cross functional engineering teams and following established processes
Ability to understand budgets and complete tasking within assigned cost and schedules
Must be able to work collaboratively across physical locations
Must possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Must work well in a team environment as well as independently
Just exhibit good time management skills, decision making capabilities, focus on customer service
Proficiency with MS Office application including MS Visio
Additional Information:

Understanding of Military ground control system architecture General understanding of network design and operation
Understanding of industry standard system architecture and network tools
Familiar with process development and deployment
Network related certifications including Security + and CCNA
Knowledge of RF communications
Experience supporting system installation at customer facilities
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Sciences or related field
