Chipton-Ross is seeking three (3) Systems Engineers in Orlando, FL.
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
TRSS 12270-This position is to assist the Requirements Lead in developing and augmenting requirements and architecture structure within the Sniper program. The individual will enhance the existing framework of Sniper requirements management, documentation, and traceability. This will be performed by gap analysis, developing a stable doc/spec tree and affinity structure, as well as improving processes and adoption by creating training materials for consistent team entry and longevity. Individual will organize and attend Requirements Review Boards as the coordinator, alongside the Requirements Lead. Intrepid individuals will achieve great responsibility and autonomy making high program level improvements to a program that has wide breadth but many gaps.
Basic Qualifications: Individual must be detail oriented and willing to read, review, and apply multiple strategies and materials for best practices. Individual must have ability to apply requirements management and trace programs such as DOORS and operate functional diagram programs like Visio.
Key Duties: Individual will organize and host Requirements Review Boards and will follow requirements-based actions assigned to others to ensure they are completed. Individual will meet with Requirements Lead and SMEs through the organization to learn and apply best practices. Review of program documentation for consistency and compliance for multiple contracts and customers, both international and domestic, proposed Generation of DOORS structures, links, and outputs. Writing and editing documentation for proposals and contracts, including whole or portions of ICDs, Specs, DRSs, and Program Plans.
Performs tasks and assignments emphasizing development of technical and strategic leadership and interpersonal skills in a structured framework within the engineering disciplines, such as mechanical, electrical, and systems. Must have good communication skills, work in a teaming environment and be capable of solving cross-functional technical problem.
Analyzes customer's initial design specifications and recommends basic product specifications and techniques to satisfy customer requirements. Develops, coordinates and conducts trade studies and evaluations of engineering design concepts and designs. Recommends designs and performs testing to achieve required levels to meet product requirements. Generates and analyzes performance reports and process control procedures; investigates and analyzes relevant variables potentially affecting product and processes.
