This Flight Controls lead position is a technical position performing complex guidance and control design and analysis for LM Aero - Advanced Development Programs. Responsible for guiding the design, development, integration and test of flight control laws. Must have demonstrated working knowledge of flight control system architecture, autonomous control algorithms & analysis, system integration, and test of vehicle systems. Prior experience in hypersonic flight regime is highly desired. Must have a good understanding of aircraft stability, control and aerodynamic characteristics. Strong system engineering experience and the ability to mechanize the requirements for Guidance, Navigation and Control systems is highly desired. The selected candidate will represent the program as a technical subject matter expert within the field of flight controls and will interact with
senior leadership, customer and suppliers at program meetings.
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
Minimum 10+ years of hands-on experience in the design of flight control laws (algorithms & software) for aviation applications.
Proficient with simulation/control laws (6-degree-of-freedom)development tools, aircraft/system modeling and Matlab/Simulink software.
