Network Security Engineer

Description:
Network Security Engineer
(Authentication Mechanisms, OS Hardening experience)
Network Security Engineer - Linux Kernel, Network Security, Black Box Penetration Testing

Responsibilities:
Software Design and Verification Engineer with excellent Linux Kernel, SELinux and Operating-System Level knowledge sought for a challenging permanent position with a Avionics Network Security scope
Formal design and verification of cutting-edge security systems for certification by civil aviation agencies for use in the world's most prominent Airlines.
Actively participate in technical discussions and propose product design decisions
Monitor and track personal progress to ensure timely completions of project milestones and deliveries
Act as subject matter expert on assigned product and your technical implementation
Support product development managers at internal technical exchange in customer meetings/contacts
Black box penetrate product offerings with edge of industry tool sets and knowledge

Required Experience/Skills:
Development and verification of next-generation network security and threat management systems
Develop abstract models and formal verification specifications for avionics servers
Create definitions of threat vectors and protections for product resources
Contribution to the areas of product performance (with full security), reliability, scalability, and maintainability of the product
Participation in our ongoing product enhancements and software development practices

Required Experience & Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent technical discipline
Minimum 5 years professional experience in the software engineering field
Knowledge of current penetration test suites and modern collaborative attack methods
Knowledge of IP based network penetration methods, network and security protocols (TCP/IP, IPSEC, TLS, PKI, HTTP/HTTPS) and understanding of firewall architecture and implementation
Understanding of Agile software development framework and demonstrated experience in applying Agile methodologies to meet project specific needs
Understanding of design and development process with emphasis on continuous integration in a test driven environment
Experience with development and project planning/tracking tools such as Jira, Confluence, TFS, SVN
Good oral and written communications skills and ability to effectively present ideas and concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience with computer security concepts, information assurance, mandatory access control, role based access control, authentication/authorization, certification and accreditation

Preferred Additional Experience/Skills:
Demonstrated experience in IP penetration knowledge
Background in high assurance guard or cross domain application development
Certificate management and / or spoofing knowledge
