Microsoft Visual Studio .NET Software Developer 3 - VA

Researches, designs, develops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software. Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards. Evaluates interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system. Documents testing and maintenance of system corrections.

We are looking for a senior full-stack Microsoft Visual Studio .NET Developer (C#, ASP .NET, JavaScript, Angular) who is interested in designing and building information systems to support construction of some of the largest and most complex products in the world. We are the sole designer and builder of U.S. Navy Aircraft Carriers and one of two providers of U.S. Navy Submarines. We are an extremely diverse organization with a talented and dedicated team of programmers, engineers, architects and administrators working together to support our ever changing technical landscape.

As a Software Developer you will be required to look forward at technologies and apply innovative solutions to enhance the organization. You will build and maintain systems that process information across multiple disciplines: Materials Management, Planning and Provisioning, Human Resources, Finance, etc. You will interface with the most powerful systems in the world: SAP, Team Center, SharePoint, JDA Component Supplier Management System, Hyperion, etc. and work with the most advanced data base engines in the world: SQL Server and ORACLE. You will support engineering organizations of all disciplines (Mechanical, Metallurgical, Electrical, Radiological, Civil, etc.), craftsmen of all types (Electricians, Welders, Fitters, Fabricators, Machinists, etc.) and critical support organizations (Communications, Payroll, Clinic, Quality, Security, Supply Chain, etc.). 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD.

Technical Skills Required
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Visual Studio (C#, ASP .NET, JavaScript, JQuery, HTML5, NuGet)
In depth experience developing systems using ASP.NET sites with Web Forms, Model View Controller (MVC), Win Forms and Web API, ODATA and Rest-ful services
Practical experience with Entity Framework
Systems interface development skills
Strong technical writing skills

Technical Skills Highly Preferred
Mobile development experience using Xamrin and/or Cordova
Microsoft Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)
Database design especially the development of Entity-Relationship Diagrams
Configuration management using Team Foundation Server
Automated unit test creation

Bonus Skills
Mobile development using Android SDK
SharePoint development skills
Practical knowledge of networking
.Net Winforms
Dependency Injection
.Net Core.

Requires at least a bachelor's degree in a pertinent discipline from an accredited institution.
