Perform stress analysis for flight structures and ground test support equipment’s.
Course work and stress analysis experience must include classical hand analysis as well as finite element analysis methods.
Job duties may encompass buckling analysis; linear and non-linear stress analysis; composite analysis and mechanism.
Candidate should be highly skilled in finite element modeling and analysis, with expertise in the use of FEM, Nastran, NX or BETACAE preferred. Experience with high velocity impact analysis or flight test random vibration data reduction is a plus.
Requires good verbal and written communication skills, and ability to work in a team environment.
Candidate will be required to support designers in determining parts with adequate margins of safety, good load paths, low weight, and high producibility. Job duties may also require support to structural test definition, requirements, monitoring, data reduction, and comparison to analysis.
Bachelor’s degree from and accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 8 years of professional experience; or 6 years’ experience with a related Master’s degree.
Mechanical Engineering degree, FEM, NASTRAN, NX or BETCAE skills PRO E and/or CATIA skills
