Facilities Maintenance Planning Engineer

PDS TECH, INC. is currently looking for a Facilities Maintenance Planning Supervisor for our client in Groton, CT.

Job Scope 
- Distribute Preventive Maintenance and Demand Work Orders in the form of a weekly schedule and assist Supervisor and/or Leads with job coordination.
- Collaborate with Technical leads and technicians to properly plan work orders including material management, task estimating for budgetary approval and customer communication
- Utilize CMMS to record work order classification, priority, activities and trade.
- Analyze and report data on Demand and PM Work Orders such as: overdue, backlog, received/ completed statistics and additional reports as requested for monthly reporting to Program Manager and Supervisor
- Work with the Supervisor, Leads, Technicians and Procurement to ensure accurate and timely communication with the requestor(s) regarding status of work orders such as: awaiting parts, on hold, or that have been rescheduled
- Work with contract administrator ensures timely and accurate vendor support.
- Provide recommendations with regards to facilities equipment and utility systems maintenance programs.
- Comply with established safety and environmental procedures
- Adjust to changing conditions and occasionally work second shift, holidays, and weekends as required
- Perform under minimal supervision and exercise independent judgment in problem resolution/
- Communicate facilities requirements to team leads.
- Comply with and enforce company policies and safety practices, procedures and guidelines such as job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout, and the use of PPE.
- Operate various measuring, diagnostic and testing tools, instruments and software to perform troubleshooting, work completion and to provide energy efficiency solutions.
- Maintain a strict schedule in order to be successful in the assignment and meet expected client service levels as established by the Company
- Be flexible in the day-to-day activities and shift scheduling for the benefit of the customers mission. 

Specific Basic Qualifications 
Bachelor's degree in facility maintenance, engineering or related field or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
8 years of experience in maintenance and repair of industrial HVAC, industrial electrical, plumbing or utility plant operations will be considered demonstrated equivalent experience with no education.
Two years of facility maintenance planning experience
Exposure to any skilled trade. 

Preferred Qualifications 
Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude with an understanding of critical systems supporting the pharmaceutical industry, such as HVAC, chillers, electrical components, and plumbing.

Experience with a CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) such as MAXIMO, EAMS or other database 3. systems.

Experience in employee and subcontracted work coordination in a predictive and reliability-based facility maintenance program.

Experience working with a building management monitoring system.

Certificate or formal training from Facility Maintenance Organizations such as IFMA, AFE or BOMA.

Ability to read and interpret blue prints, schematics and one-line drawings.

Journey level license in HVAC, Electrical or plumbing.

Proficient with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and Access).
