*This is a full time, 6 month, contract to hire position*
We are hiring for an Electronics circuit board Technician / Engineering Liaison who will be working with engineers and technical staff to modify, test, document, troubleshoot, and rework electronic assemblies.
Applicant will work from schematics, work instructions, drawings and diagrams to make changes to the electronics. Applicant may help develop procedures, document changes to assembly sequences, determine root cause and recommend corrections, conduct testing, produce reports, fabrication operation, electro-optical subsystems or systems. Performs fabrication operations associated with systems development, such as mechanical or electrical assembly.
*4 years’ experience as an electronic technician, liaison or similar role constructing/adapting and or modifying electronic assemblies/subsystems.
*Able to read blueprints, sketches, work instructions and drawings.
*Experience using electronics tools like DVMs, oscilloscopes, signal generators, soldering iron and hand tools, function generators, multimeters, power meters, etc.
*Good computer, troubleshooting and writing skills. Ability to write procedures/reports
*Able to get a Security Clearance upon start.
*AS degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent degree combined with additional experience
*Able to make minor modifications in test setups or procedures, use of computer aided design tools
*Able to use complex metal fabricating tools, such as band saws, mills and lathes.
*Use of Military grade connectors and cable assembly practices.
*Experience with specialized electrical test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, TDR, imaging sensors and systems, computer technology and hardware.
