Retail Operations Specialist 1

The contracts are regularly extended and direct opportunities are often available.

Description:

Assists in managing product selection and development for a single product category. Assists in drafting sales plan and maintaining profit and loss metrics to plan. Assists with audits, compliance and maintenance of brand standards. Generates limited purchase orders. Assists in allocating merchandise items for distribution and in drafting marketing plans.

This position supports online store and web sites.

Duties include: Entry of special payment orders placed outside web site directly into inventory/accounting system; answering customer service emails, fulfillment of Recognition program gift card orders; assistance with product photo shoots; and special projects as needed.

Employee should be organized, with the ability to multitask and prioritize projects, and possess a strong attention to detail. Must be comfortable using personal judgment for problem-solving with minimal supervision. Experience with customer service is required. Should be experienced with Excel and Word and comfortable learning new online tools and Point of Sale system. Familiarity with CounterPoint sales system desired.

Typical daily activities will vary according to seasonal trends, but may include:

Customer Service
Check customer service emails throughout the day to research and answer questions and issues escalated by the customer service reps.
Monitor Pride and Instant Award customer service issues. Research and provide answers for all escalated issues.
Typical issues will include and are not limited to the following examples:
Order follow-up with BSI Merchandise Team or Supplier for awards that are lost or late.
Shipments lost or stolen (action needs to take place to cancel orders and re-order, etc.)
Coordinate with BSI Merchandise Team to "turn-off" items which become out of stock.
Coordinate with physical stores to fulfill back-orders for award items which are out of stock at the warehouse.


Sales and Cash Register Functions
Ring in any order that can't be placed directly into the online store (includes orders using alternate internal payment options such as Service Awards and Gift Cards. This process involves some phone contact with customers.
Process, package and ship all orders for regional gift cards (Tully's, DreamClinic, Store GC) for instant recognition use received via GRP Mailbox. Manage Authorization forms for these orders. Ring orders in CP and log in matrix. Follow up with customers.
Tracking of Instant Award movie ticket orders

Inventory Management
Assist with acquisition and fulfillment of product to fill backorders.
Review daily R&R Program Exception Report for movie ticket shipment routing changes and backorders and orders open over 2 days.


Photoshoots
Occasionally assist with product photo shoots by gathering/organizing samples, labeling and preparing for photographer, and delivery product to and from the studio.
Assist with model shoots, gathering product, assisting with styling during shoots.

Special Projects
As needed, work on special projects with sites teams
