Propulsion Engineer

Description:
BS Degree or equivalent work experience in Propulsion Systems, Electrical, Aerospace, or related field.

Project:
Must understand the integration of the UAS Propulsion Systems to include specifications, analysis, design, integration, and test. Working with other subsystem engineers to include rotors, drive systems, flight controls, airframe and other software/hardware engineers and avionic engineers.

Responsibilities:
Develop propulsion systems including definition of engine, engine control unit, starter/generator, cooling system, fuel system and interfaces.
Support air vehicle analysis with propulsion systems including weight roll ups, systems efficiency, and fuel consumption.
Propulsion integration and design
Support development of rotor and drive systems
Rotor Drive Engine Test Systems

Skills:
Experience in the areas of Propulsion integration, familiar with rotor and drive systems desired.
Knowledge of military propulsion systems or heavy fuel engines.
Experience developing and/or testing UAS Systems desired
Familiarity with military qualification standards
