NDT Technician Level III - 61190434TV

Description:
• Evaluate and improve capability of NDT processes to eliminate customer escapes while improving efficiency, productivity and flow
• Develop, review, approve NDT techniques such as X-ray, digital X-Ray and FPI in accordance with customer requirements
• Qualification, training, testing and periodic over-reading of Level I, II & III inspectors
• Read, interpret and apply customer and industry standards related to NDT methodology and other general specifications
• Review and approve all NDT procedures, techniques and revisions
• Establish initial and recurrent training programs for Penetrant and Radiography Inspectors, Level II and Level I employees when necessary on all shifts
• Maintain certification documents in accordance with National Aerospace Standard (NAS 410)
• Act as the customer delegated authority, thereby certifying and auditing employees and NDT processes
• Obtain required customer certifications, as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized work area
• Comply with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures
• Attendance
• Ability to work at the Bloomington facility
• Work on/participate in special projects as needed or assigned by Management

• Education: High school Diploma or equivalent
• Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in NDT as a Level II with High School Diploma or
Minimum 2 years of experience in NDT as a Level II with 2 year Degree in Science or Engineering or
Minimum 1 year of experience in NDT as a Level II with 4 year Degree in Science or Engineering
• Certifications/Licenses: Must hold at least 1 of the following certifications with the ability to obtain the other within 12 months.
*ASNT trained certified Level III in Penetrant Per NAS 410 aerospace standards
*ASNT trained certified Level III in Radiography Per NAS 410 aerospace standards
*ASTN certification
*Customer NDT certifications
• Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Attention to detail, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization, working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), ability to work with others through complex situations

• Working Environment: Indoor working environment within various areas of a foundry facility/Office environment
• Physical Demands: Sitting/standing, using a computer screen, keyboard and mouse for extended periods of time, ability to lift up to 20lbs, walking
• Travel Requirements: Up to 10%, but varies
• Required PPE: PPE varies throughout the plant, check with area Supervisor to ensure proper PPE is being used
• Safety Glasses: Needed in all areas of the plant
• Steel toe shoes: Needed in all areas of the plant
