|Responsible for day to day document control activities. Receives, logs, and tracks all incoming documents. Provides quality control of all incoming, scanned, and boxed documents. Determines document type and maintains logs of all outgoing documents. Maintains hard copy and electronic files.|
The Document Specialist will on a daily basis obtain paper documents from a vault, prepare the paper documents for scanning, scan the paper documents while assuring that the best possible document scan is achieved, catalog the documents in a computer document storage system based upon the documents meta-data, re-box the paper documents, cataloging the document as they are put into boxes and return the boxes of documents to the vault for storage.
The Document Specialist may help prepare specifications and other processes and procedures manuals. Will Maintain Operating and Maintenance (O&M) manuals and keeps revisions up to date. Helps with reproduction, filing, and other duties as needed or required.
Summary of Duties: Review and comprehend documentation such as Scanning and Quality Control Manuals. Handling of paper documents, Electronic logging, filing and retrieval of documents. Hard-copy filing and retrieval of documents. Copying, Scanning, and Auditing of electronic and hard-copy documents. Check document scans for optimal viewing, and meta-data for correct entry and cataloging.
