IT Business Partner

Description:
The post holder will understand the business strategy and help identify and effectively communicate ways to use technology to help achieve strategic business goals. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying technology solutions to business problems and representing business interests within the IT organization.
The IT Business Partner leads and manages the IT agenda in the region and has overall accountability for the successful delivery of new and existing IT initiatives.

Other activities include:
•Working in partnership with the senior business leadership in the region and providing effective, value added support to the leadership team that is focused on enabling business performance.
•Drive the IT organization to achieve execution excellence by providing feedback on performance related to business area objectives.
•Work with business leaders to identify a business case for IT investment and appropriate priority in the context of global demand on IT delivery.
•Ensure potential scope changes are fully documented, rationalized, and challenged if necessary before submitting to the intake process for proper consideration.
•Partner and facilitate process governance discussions with business analysts and business resources to govern the changes to agreed global processes and technology roadmaps for given processes.
•Ensure regional business needs are represented and highlighted with the Process and Technology Solutions Group.
•Ensure both Industrial and Enterprise IT changes and plans are effectively shared and represented.
•Facilitate site based activities (regionally) including compliance audits and the Industrial IT budget process.
•Help to ensure better organizational understanding and information sharing.
•Act as a service broker by managing vendors, setting, monitoring and controlling vendor SLA’s and negotiating, supporting and effectively managing vendor contracts. Close liaison with the Corporate Legal team will be an essential requirement.

Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
•A minimum of five years’ experience in a technology environment with relationship management responsibilities
•Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
•Proven experience in Business Systems including either Engineering (CAX/PLM) or ERP either as a consultant or an expert user.
Proven knowledge of process mapping and process optimization. Basic understanding of business finance and how IT improvement can impact business performance.
•Ability to influence thinking or to convince others. Must be an articulate and persuasive leader who can communicate effectively with all levels of seniority within the business, and who is able to communicate to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff.
•Working with cross-functional geographically dispersed teams is a key requirement. A high degree of tact and diplomacy in order to manage the natural tension between local agility and driver towards group wide standards.
