Software Engineer

Description:
Software Engineer Level 4

Location: Fort Worth, TX
Rate: $72.64/HR
Duration: 1 year contract
Overtime: Possible (x1.5)
Per Diem Split: Yes (if eligible)

****An Active Secret Clearance is required****

This position is with the Advanced Development Programs, or Skunk Works, division of Lockheed Martin. The position requires design, development, integration and test of vehicle systems software.

1. The applicant will be part of a multi-discipline agile software development team working as a unit to implement and complete project objectives.
2. Candidate responsibilities will span the technology development lifecycle, including requirements generation, system and software design and implementation, integration and flight test, and adjudicating change requests as the software is updated, tested, and integrated.
3. Integration activities will include a multitude of host systems, such as live assets of varying capability and structure, simulated systems, and laboratory environments that include constructive simulations, physical hardware, and system simulations.
4. The successful candidate will work with a high-performing multi-site, multi-program team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
5. The successful candidate must have demonstrated effective communication skills as the position will require frequent inter-organizational and outside customer interactions.
6. The ability to travel on occasion for team interaction and integration and test activities is required.

Basic Qualifications:
STEM Degree
Level 4 BS+11 YRS or MS+9 YRS
Experience developing human machine interfaces (HMI), pilot vehicle interfaces (PVI), or other user interface (UI) experience.
Experience developing safety critical and high assurance software
Experience developing software using the C/C++ programming language.
Knowledge of intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) systems.
Ability to travel 25% of time and work in remote locations.
